Oral interpretation refers a kind of verbal expression which requires interpreting the information to be heard (sometimes read) to a specified language in an accurate and rapid way. In other words, it is a communication behavior for purpose of delivering and exchanging information. Oral interpretation is a basic linguistic communication tool for cross-cultural and cross-nation activities. Oral interpretation can be divided into three categories:

Escort Interpretation
Escort interpretation mainly applies to small-scale visits, tourism activities and business meetings that require translation services.

Consecutive Interpretation
Consecutive interpretation applies to conferences. The interpreter is required to listen to a consecutive speech for a while and then express all the contents in another language completely, accurately and eloquently.

Simultaneous Interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation is mainly required for a high-end conference. While a speaker is making a speech, the interpreter interprets the speaker's speech into a specified language, which will be transferred to the other attendees via earphones.
